Job summary

Advocate Health in Shelby, NC seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT imaging and support Radiologists across inpatient and outpatient services. You will prepare patients, verify orders, and ensure high-quality images while following safety and infection control protocols.

The role requires ARRT CT certification (or NMTCB with CT) and BLS, with the ability to work with IV contrast and coordinate with the Radiology team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests, verifies orders, and coordinates with Radiologist.
• Properly identify patients and explain procedures.
• Obtain complete medical history and document within requisitions.
• Operate CT scanner and assist Radiologist/PA during procedures.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol; document usage.
• Maintain image quality and perform additional reconstructions as needed.
• Provide basic patient care and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and fire procedures.
• Rotate shifts including on-call, holidays, and weekends per policy.
