Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking a Supervisor Radiology Support to oversee clerical operations within the Radiology department. You will assist the Manager/Director with budget, record keeping and statistics, maintain the charge master and CPT codes, and handle charge corrections.

Responsibilities include coordinating weekly schedules, ordering office supplies, supervising reception staff, supporting patient accounting, and ensuring adherence to departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Two years general office background; medical background preferred.
• Familiar with assorted office equipment; computer knowledge essential.
• Some typing skills required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Human Resource practices is helpful; ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Type weekly call schedules and distribute to areas by Monday close of day.
• Pick up, deliver, and distribute mail as needed.
• Order all office supplies for Diagnostic Radiology weekly by 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.
• Order all office supplies for MOP Radiology weekly by 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.
• Report repairs to office equipment to vendors/maintenance promptly.
• Deposit checks for silver recovery and x-ray copies promptly.
• Supervise and train all reception staff on Registration, PIM, and OCM.
• Counsel employees as needed and interview candidates when a position opens.
• Update downtime request forms within four days of service.
• Assist patient accounting with billing problems professionally.
• Update and distribute employee telephone/address list bi-annually.
• Assist receptionists with Pre-certification numbers and manage HMO paperwork.
