Job summary

Atlantic Health System's Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ, is seeking a Radiology Assistant to ensure accuracy of prescriptions before imaging, complete related paperwork, and transport patients between areas for diagnostic testing. The role requires 0-3 years in radiology or patient care, a BLS certification, and familiarity with radiology terminology and basic computer skills.

CMA or radiology technologist program enrollment preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of experience as a Radiology Assistant or in patient care.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
• Familiarity with radiology terminology and basic computer skills; CMA or Radiology Technologist program enrollment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and reviews accuracy of patient prescriptions prior to exams.
• Completes all paperwork associated with technical procedures.
• Responds to physicians' questions regarding patient procedures.
• Transports patients safely within the hospital for diagnostics or transfers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
