Job summary

Atlantic Health System seeks a Radiology Assistant to ensure prescription accuracy before imaging, complete required paperwork, and support physicians with procedures. You will safely transport patients between areas for tests and respond to clinical needs, with other duties as assigned.

At Atlantic Health System Newton Medical Center, this role supports high-quality care across our NJ facilities, leveraging radiology familiarity and basic computer skills in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience as a Radiology Assistant, in Patient Care or relevant area.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Experience and familiarity with radiology and medical terminology and basic computer skills.
• Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant or currently enrolled in a Radiology Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and reviews accuracy of patient's prescriptions prior to exams.
• Completes all paperwork associated with technical procedures.
• Responds to Physician's questions and needs regarding patient procedures.
• Transports patients safely within the hospital for diagnostic testing or transfers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
