Job summary

Atlantic Health System in Newton, NJ is seeking a Radiology Assistant to obtain and review patient prescriptions prior to exams, and to transport patients between areas for diagnostic testing. The role requires collaboration with physicians and completion of related paperwork.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, 0-3 years of relevant experience, and American Heart Association BLS certification, plus familiarity with radiology terminology and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0-3 years of experience as a Radiology Assistant, in Patient Care or relevant area.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Experience and familiarity with radiology and medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and reviews accuracy of patient's prescriptions prior to performing exams.
• Completes all paperwork associated with technical procedures.
• Responds to Physician's questions and needs regarding patient procedures.
• Transports patients safely from one area of the hospital to another for diagnostic testing, room transfers, or other needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
