Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown is seeking a part-time Radiology Support role to welcome patients and support routine imaging services. The incumbent will verify orders, assist technologists, and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring safety and smooth department flow.

Responsibilities include handling patient transport, maintaining infection control, and coordinating outpatient and inpatient workflows with the radiology team and nursing staff. 4 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Competency in the use of safe patient handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients upon arrival and facilitates the department experience.
• Answers calls timely, identifying self and unit.
• Verifies completeness of orders and notifies physicians of inaccuracies.
• Assists Radiologic Technologists in planning and executing imaging procedures.
• Prepares patients for basic examinations and diagnostic procedures.
