Job summary

WVU Health System is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant to support radiology procedures in Morgantown. You will assist radiologic technologists, help prepare patients for procedures, and help maintain a safe, clean environment across IR/CT areas.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification within 30 days, and 1 year of clinical experience. IV placement competency is expected after training and onboarding, with opportunities to mentor new staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• IV course completion per department requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supports Radiologic Technologists in planning and execution of imaging procedures.
• Reports equipment failures immediately after identification.
• Assist patients with gowning and transfer to exam table.
• Coordinate outpatient and inpatient department flow via communication with patient floors.
• Assess patient comfort and provide assistance as needed.
• Escort patients to and from the procedure suite and assist with arrivals and departures.
• Promote teamwork among radiology staff and other departments.
• Participate in problem solving to support efficient, high-quality patient care.
• Assist with room setup and sterile technique under supervision.
