Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiology support professional to assist patients preparing for imaging procedures and to help manage exam rooms and schedules at Navicent Health Medical Center – Radiology: Xray in Macon, GA. Roles include patient preparation, basic instruction, and coordination with radiologists and technologists.

The candidate should have an active radiologic technology program enrollment or ARRT/ARDMS eligibility, and a GED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Picks up IV insertion and venipuncture as required by the department.
• Strong communication with patients, staff and physicians.
• Proficient with routine computer systems and email.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently with technologists and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in preparation for exam and provide basic instructions.
• Transport and escort patients, families, and visitors as needed.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain equipment, stock supplies.
• Greet patients and answer calls, schedule appointments and take messages.
