Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years experience as an admissions clerk or in Health Information Services in a hospital.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Greet staff, patients, visitors and schedulers courteously.
• Communicate exam details to patients and coordinate with scheduling offices.
• Review scheduling forms for completeness and accuracy; ensure radiology notes are ready for procedures.
• Enter patient demographics into the RIS scheduler accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate pre-authorization for radiology procedures when needed.
