University Radiology Group in New Jersey is seeking a Radiological Scheduler to join our busy patient access team. This 8-hour day-time shift role involves handling a high volume of calls, scheduling all imaging modalities, and ensuring accurate exam prep and patient location details.

You will verify insurance requirements, coordinate with multiple offices, document conversations, and contribute to a positive, professional work environment. We offer a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of simple anatomy (e.g. abdomen, forearm, lungs).
• Knowledge of insurances and precertification requirements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently in a high call volume and fast paced work environment.
• Team player who can contribute to providing a professional and positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Answers a high volume of calls, aiming for 9-10 calls per hour in a professional manner.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments for all imaging offices across locations.
• Ensure signs and symptoms match the ordered exam; consult with office staff if needed.
• Confirm patient understands necessary preparations and any required lab tests.
• Verify current insurance information and explain referral/pre-certification requirements.
• Navigate Insurance Matrix to determine plans we participate with.
• Document the patient interaction in the medical record.
