University Radiology, the leading radiology provider in New Jersey, is seeking a Radiological Scheduler to support an 8-hour day-time shift. The role handles a high volume of calls, schedules imaging across multiple locations, and ensures accurate patient prep and documentation.

The ideal candidate will manage insurance precertification effectively, coordinate with offices, and maintain smooth patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy basics and imaging workflows.
• Familiarity with insurance and precertification requirements.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of calls, aiming for 9–10 calls per hour.
• Schedule and reschedule imaging appointments across locations.
• Verify signs and symptoms match the exam and coordinate with office staff.
• Explain prep requirements and confirm patient location and labs when needed.
• Verify insurance information and potential referrals or pre-certification needs.
• Navigate the insurance matrix to determine participating plans.
• Document conversations in the patient record.
