Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values to others.
• Provides high quality service and telephone etiquette to customers.
• Ensures patient confidentiality per HIPAA policies.
• Obtains demographic information to register the patient accurately.
• Communicates with doctors' offices to obtain orders when missing.
• Reviews and confirms patient financial information (insurance, benefits, policy).
• Verifies eligibility using online systems (TMHP, Availity, Relay Assurance).
• Explains rates and up-front collection policies to patients.
• Handles cash and receipts; reconciles cash drawer.
• Schedules appointments and registers patients for services.
• Ensures referrals/authorizations are met and MSP forms completed when needed.
• Prints and prints patient bills upon request.
