Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care in alignment with physician orders and established guidelines. The role requires GA RN licensure, a BSN, and BLS certification, with at least two years of RN experience.

The successful candidate will follow the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies while delivering compassionate care to patients and families in a fast-paced environment at our Atlanta-area campus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• BSN degree.
• Two (2) years of experience as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Complies with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
4. BSN degree
5. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
2. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
