Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to provide independent nursing care to patients in accordance with physician directives. The role requires excellent planning abilities and compliance with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Candidates must be graduates of accredited nursing programs and hold an active RN license in Georgia. Preferred qualifications include a BSN degree and experience as an RN.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Must hold certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
