Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Patient Transporter to assist with moving patients and ancillary items across the MUSC campus. The role reports to the Imaging Supervisor or Imaging Director and requires adherence to hospital transport protocols.

The position aims for individuals with a High School diploma or GED and up to 6 months of healthcare-related experience; BLS certification must be obtained within 2 weeks of hire and maintained thereafter.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or completion of a recognized allied health course.
• 0-6 months of work experience. Six months patient care experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 2 weeks of hire and maintained thereafter (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Assists with the transportation of patients and other ancillary items within the MUSC campus.
• Reports to the Imaging Supervisor or Imaging Director.
