Job summary

The Patient Transporter at MUSC-Orangeburg assists with hospital-based transportation of patients within the campus under supervision. This role ensures safe and timely movement of patients throughout the facility, supporting Radiology and other departments.

Typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm with weekend rotation; high attention to safety, patient care, and capacity to perform physical tasks is required. BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent.
• 0–6 months of work experience in patient transport or healthcare roles.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either American Heart Association or American Red Cross; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hospital-based transportation of patients within the MUSC-Orangeburg campus under supervision.
• Provide safe and timely transportation for patients throughout the organization.
