Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Patient Transporter to assist with moving patients and related items across the MUSC campus. Reports to the Imaging Supervisor or Imaging Director and works under general supervision.

Education requires a high school diploma or GED with allied health coursework; 0-6 months of experience preferred. BLS certification must be obtained within two weeks of hire and kept current.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED and/or completion of an allied health course.
• 0-6 months of work experience; six months patient care preferred.
• BLS required within 2 weeks of hire and maintained thereafter (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR/AED)

Responsibilities

• Assist with transportation of patients and ancillary items within MUSC campus.
• Move patients safely and assist clinical staff as needed.
• Follow supervision of Imaging Supervisor or Imaging Director.
