Akumin Inc. is hiring a Patient Coordinator for our Winter Haven facility to deliver exceptional patient care and coordinate registration, insurance verification, and post-visit instructions.

The role supports a fast-paced radiology/oncology environment and requires strong customer service and organizational skills. The position emphasizes accurate documentation, effective communication with patients and providers, and adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire for Mobile Radiology and Oncology; CPR certification is a plus for Fixed Radiology.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in various systems and answer calls professionally.
• May collect monies for time‑of‑service patient responsibility and verify insurance coverage/authorization.
• May transport patients to/from the exam room and assist in transfers on/off the exam table.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient visits in electronic systems and written documents.
