Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe and effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
• Assists in preparing the patient for the exam and is attentive to their needs.
• Assists patients on and off procedure tables and to and from procedure rooms.
• Oversees coordination of patient care and communicates pertinent information to other providers.
• Transports patients to and from the Imaging department with attention to comfort and safety.
• Inspects transport equipment and reports any repairs needed.
• May perform IV insertion upon competency and skill pass off.
