Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiology and MRI Tech Aide to support imaging teams and ensure patient comfort during procedures. The role is PRN (as needed) at St. Vincent Regional Hospital, Billings, MT, with duties including preparing patients, transporting them, and assisting technologists in imaging departments.

Ideal candidates will have High School Diploma and BLS, with preferred patient-care or customer service experience. IV insertion proficiency may be required depending on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for caregivers.
• Prior patient-care or customer service experience is preferred.
• IV insertion proficiency may be required by site.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care under the technologist's direction.
• Prepare patients for exams and attend to their comfort and safety.
• Assist patients on and off procedure tables and to/from procedure rooms.
• Oversee coordination of patient care and assist where needed.
• Communicate pertinent information to other care providers after procedures.
• Inspect transport equipment and report repairs as necessary.
• Transport patients to/from the Imaging department ensuring comfort and safety.
• May perform IV insertion once competency is demonstrated.
