Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Aide to support imaging teams at St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings. The role focuses on preparing patients, ensuring comfort and safety during imaging procedures, and coordinating care under technologist supervision.

The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and patient communication, with potential IV insertion competency and a strong focus on reliable assistance in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for caregivers.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe and effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
• Assists in preparing the patient for the exam and is attentive to their needs.
• Assists patients on and off procedure tables and to and from procedure rooms.
• Assists and/or oversees coordination of patient care.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other care providers following procedure.
• Routinely inspects transport equipment and notifies appropriate personnel when repairs are necessary.
• Transports patients to and from the Imaging department, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• May perform IV insertion upon competency and skill pass off.
