Job summary

Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging (SDMI) is seeking a qualified Medical Coder to join our Revenue Cycle team. You will review radiology reports to ensure accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, verify insurance contractual charge agreements, and apply NCCI edits.

The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to SDMI protocols, and timely billing operations. You will collaborate with clinicians and billing staff to resolve coding queries, stay current with industry changes, and maintain compliance

Qualifications

• Active coding certification required (RCC, AAPC CPC/CIRCC, or RHIT)
• Experience in medical billing, coding, or collections in healthcare
• Education: HS diploma or GED
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and NCCI edits

Responsibilities

• Review radiology documentation to assign ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers per national standards and NCCI edits
• Verify insurance contracts and charge agreements for compliant reimbursement
• Prioritize tasks independently to meet revenue cycle deadlines
• Collaborate with clinicians, billing staff, and others on coding queries
• Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines and SDMI protocols
• Maintain accuracy and adhere to SDMI safety and billing procedures
