Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Lead Tech to supervise and coordinate daily Radiology operations. The role involves leading staff across multiple clinics, ensuring high-quality imaging services and adherence to policy and professional standards.

The Lead Tech will apply knowledge of radiology protocols, RIS/HIS systems, and safety procedures while maintaining excellent communication with the healthcare team and patients.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Supervisor, Radiology Manager and the Director of Radiology, the Lead Technologist leads, plans and coordinates the daily operations of the Diagnostic Radiology department through interactions with support and technical staff, other departments, Radiologists and others as necessary. Primary duty is to coordinate all aspects of the day-to-day operations in various locations (Newton Pavilion, Shapiro, Menino Pavilion, Whittier and Agganis clinics) to ensure the delivery of quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and professional standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

• Requires knowledge of principles and procedures of Diagnostic Radiology and the operation and maintenance of Radiology equipment generally acquired through the completion of two years post-high school training in an approved school of Radiology.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES, REGISTRATIONS

• Current MA license in Radiography, ARRT (R) certification and registration and all applicable Radiology education requirements.
• BLS/CPR Certification required.

EXPERIENCE

• Work requires 1-2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Knowledge of Diagnostic Radiology imaging protocols, processes, techniques and procedures.

Compensation Range:

$43.03- $62.50
