Job summary

Middlesex Health in Middletown, CT is seeking a Radiology Coordinator to supervise daily imaging services within the Urgent Care modality. You will coordinate workflow, ensure patient safety, and uphold quality standards across radiology procedures.

The role demands strong clinical leadership, mentoring of staff and students, and collaboration with radiology professionals to maintain accurate QA/QC checks. You will also coordinate machine maintenance and serve as liaison with Urgent Care clinics

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing.
• State of Connecticut License/Eligible.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures and follows health system policies.
• Function as a Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals, reconcile medications, interview patients.
• Mentors staff and students; problem-solving and coaching as needed.
• Performs regular QC checks and coordinates machine maintenance.
• Performs regular QA checks for each technician; coaches and trains as needed.
• Acts as liaison between Radiology and Urgent Care clinics to ensure up-to-date practices.
• Uses initiative and teamwork to perform imaging procedures and role-model professional behavior.
