Job summary

Middlesex Health in Connecticut seeks a Radiology Coordinator for the Urgent Care Middletown imaging services. You will supervise daily operations, manage workflow, and oversee quality control to ensure efficient patient imaging experiences.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff and students, performing QC/QA checks, coordinating machine maintenance, and serving as liaison between Radiology and Urgent Care clinics to keep practices current. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing.
• State of Connecticut License/Eligible.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three to five years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB etc) required.
• One to three years leadership experience including coaching and counseling staff, and developing staff schedules.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated high level of technical expertise and competency in two or more imaging modalities.
• Demonstrated good communication skills with all levels of health care workers and guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care during imaging procedures per policies and standards.
• Room patients as Medical Assistant; obtain vitals, reconcile meds, interview to identify complaints.
• Mentor staff and students; provide expert problem solving.
• Perform QC checks and coordinate machine maintenance as needed.
• Perform QA checks for each technician; provide coaching and training.
• Record and address errors or incidents with technicians.
• Liaise between Radiology and Urgent Care to ensure current practices.
• Perform a wide range of imaging procedures; mentor staff and promote morale.
• Apply teamwork principles in patient service.
