Job summary

Middlesex Health is seeking a Radiology Coordinator to supervise and coordinate daily imaging operations in the Urgent Care modality. You will oversee workflows, ensure quality control, mentor staff, and collaborate across departments to maintain high patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing.
• State of Connecticut License/Eligible.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB).
• 1–3 years leadership experience including coaching and scheduling.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated two or more imaging modalities expertise.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Judgment, problem solving, independence when needed.
• Flexibility, teamwork and consensus-building.
• Computer skills: word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures and follows policies.
• Room patients as Medical Assistant; obtain vitals and interview patients.
• Mentor staff and students; provide coaching and training.
• Perform QC checks and coordinate machine maintenance.
• Conduct QA checks for technicians and provide coaching.
• Address and record errors or incidents with technicians.
• Liaise between Radiology and Urgent Care clinics for best practice.
• Perform a wide range of imaging procedures with professionalism.
• Promote teamwork in patient services.
