Job summary

Carson Valley Health in Gardnerville, NV is seeking a Medical Imaging Secretary for a full-time role. You will greet visitors, enter patient data into EMR/RIS, obtain consents, and support radiology operations to maintain smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of data entry, strong accuracy, and knowledge of medical terminology. Hospital or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year of computer/data entry experience required.
• Accuracy with attention to detail and knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills desired.
• Previous experience working in a hospital setting or customer service highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, direct and assist patients for scheduled and nonscheduled examinations.
• Enter patient into EMR and RIS.
• Obtain necessary consents for exams.
• Escort to dressing area and assist if needed.
• Update patient records and ensure smooth waiting room flow.
• Provide patients with health questionnaires and preps.
• Prepare and dispense oral preps per guidelines.
• Coordinate mammography scheduling and reminder letters.
• Upload/store documents in patient files.
