Job summary

Desert Radiology in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a friendly radiology front desk/ patient services specialist. You will greet patients, provide necessary forms and exam prep instructions, and ensure data accuracy in RIS/PACS.

You’ll confirm appointments by phone and coordinate scheduling with physicians and the imaging team. Ideal candidates will have medical reception experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with standard office equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical reception tasks, clinic procedures, medical terminology and paperwork processing requirements.
• Knowledge of and experience in using office equipment including telephone, fax, computer and photocopier; experience in RIS/PACS.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a polite, prompt and helpful manner and provides directions and information.
• Provides forms for patient completion and signature; delivers exam preparation instructions as needed.
• Inputs/Verifies data in the radiology information system (RIS/PACS) for accuracy.
• Confirms appointments by phone and informs patients of necessary preparations.
• Schedules patient exams based on physician and facility availability; orders labs as needed.
