The ideal candidate has hospital experience, data-entry skills, and strong communication. This position emphasizes accurate records, patient prep, and efficient scheduling in a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet, direct and assist patients for scheduled and nonscheduled examinations.
• Enter patient into EMR and RIS.
• Obtain necessary consents for exam.
• Escort patient to dressing area and assist if necessary.
• Obtain patient records and update as needed.
• Maintain smooth patient flow in waiting room.
• Offer assistance to patients and explain delays.
• Assist patients with special exam preps.
• Prepare and dispense oral preps to patients following guidelines.
• Provide each patient with a wristband and verify patient ID.
• Create CDs and DVDs for patient and physician requests.
• Send/receive electronic imaging per physician requests.
• Navigate multiple worklists for efficient patient flow.
