Job summary

You will help ensure exam orders are complete, manage patient flow across five modalities, and coordinate with hospitals, physicians, and patients.

The role includes greeting patients, verifying orders, digitizing reports, and assisting with transportation and emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• CPR certification within three months of hire.
• One year of clerical and patient-related experience or extensive hospital setting knowledge.
• Preferred: previous experience managing an office setting or patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, confirm information, process paperwork, and prepare them for exams.
• Verify physician orders and clinical info, ensuring accuracy for exam scheduling.
• Digitize, print, and distribute reports, CDs, and images to relevant parties.
• Monitor patients in the department, addressing needs and responding to emergencies.
• Coordinate work assignments for Orderlies, manage patient flow, and transport as needed.
• Train new staff and maintain departmental organization.
• Perform scheduling, locating reports, ordering supplies, and coordinating emergent procedures.
• Verify requisitions for coders and resolve discrepancies by contacting physician offices.
