Job summary

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Receptionist/Administrator to join the Radiology Department. You will support clinical services, prioritise referrals, and provide an efficient appointment service across Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospital sites.

You will be a key team member, assisting superintendents and contributing to patient care improvements while handling enquiries from GPs, midwives and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Experience providing receptionist/administrative support in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
• Ability to prioritise referrals and manage appointment schedules efficiently.
• Proficient in using radiology systems and patient data entry.

Responsibilities

• Represent the department at reception, handling calls and welcoming patients politely.
• Support appointment booking using Soliton, PACs, Cerner and ViewPoint systems.
• Register new patients and verify demographic information in Cerner.
• Manage and rearrange appointments, liaise with clinicians and midwives as needed.
• Participate in audits and staff meetings; assist with antenatal clinic preparations.
