Job summary

Lincoln Radiology, part of NHS Jobs, is looking for a Receptionist Band 2 to join our patient-facing team. You will check in patients, direct them to the correct area, and support with car parking and Blue Badge registration where needed.

You will update patient details in Trust systems, handle clinic e-outgoing, and provide administrative support to clinics. The role requires strong communication and a commitment to patient service in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients attending clinics and ensure they are directed to the correct area. To support with car parking and Blue Badge registration where required.
• Update patient details on Trust systems, where required, to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
• Complete clinic e-outgoing (cash up) in line with agreed SOPs, to ensure clinic activity is recorded correctly and so any required actions (e.g. letter production and follow up bookings) can be followed up by the Patient Service Hub.
• Hand out patient questionnaires, if required.
• Locate and chase missing patient notes to avoid delays to clinic flow, if required.
• Request porters when required to support patient access to clinics, when required.
• Circulate clinic lists to relevant teams in line with clinic requirements.
• Elevate any issues that may impact clinic running to the relevant supervisor or clinic coordinator for escalation support.
• Follow Trust processes and procedures to maintain safe, efficient and consistent clinic operations.
• Liaise with patients (or their representatives) and clinicians in clinic settings. To liaise with other Trust administrative staff (e.g. Patient Service Hub; Care Group administrative staff) when required, either in a face-to-face capacity, or via other communication channels (e.g. Microsoft Teams).
• Attend training relevant to the post and the Trusts mandatory training.
