Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee is seeking a part-time Radiology Support role to assist imaging staff with patient preparation, room readiness, and documentation. The position emphasizes infection-control practices and safe patient handling to support radiologic procedures.

Requirements include enrollment in an accredited radiologic technology program and completion of ARRT/BLS within 120 days of graduation, with no prior experience necessary.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Able to complete ARRT and BLS within 120 days of graduation.
• The program provides 12 months of radiology training and clinical competencies.
• Familiar with chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, and GI imaging procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patients and exam rooms, and assist imaging procedures per infection-control practices.
• Organize rooms, stock supplies, and maintain equipment readiness.
• Verify patient IDs and explain procedures, obtaining clinical history as needed.
• Assist patient transfer to and from exam rooms and transport within the facility.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and retrieve patient information.
• Review medical records for relevant information and verify orders against requisitions.
• Position patients and select exposure factors under supervision of a licensed radiographer.
• Document images and other records in SmartChart, RIS and PACS in a timely manner.
