Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an Electrophysiology Tech (EP Tech) to join a 13-week travel assignment in Illinois. The role requires experience with EP diagnostics and ablations, management of all cardiac devices, and proficiency with Cardo Micropace.

The schedule features four 10-hour days (06:30–17:00) with some weekends and rotating off days. Requirements include 5+ years in EP, active Illinois license, and BLS; ACLS and ARRT R are preferred.

Description:The Electrophysiology Tech will work a schedule of four 10-hour days.The shift times are from 06:30 to 17:00, with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday scheduled, and rotating Wednesday or Friday off.A minimum of five years of experience is required.Experience in EP diagnostics and ablative procedures, as well as all cardiac devices, is essential.The candidate must be competent in running Cardo Micropace.First-time travelers are accepted for this position.Weekends may be required as needed.BLS certification is required, with ACLS and ARRT R preferred.Travelers may float as needed to meet facility needs.The facility is an Acute Care Client with a Level I trauma center designation.The total staffed beds in the facility is 562.Scrub color is any solid color.Charting is done in a computerized system.The daily patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.The facility supports interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and rapid response teams.Special procedures include various types of pacemakers, defibrillators, and ablations.Experience in a Level I trauma center is preferred.This position may involve responsibilities related to conduction studies, cardiac mapping, and hemodynamic monitoring.Candidates must be prepared to manage equipment setup and maintain sterile fields during procedures.Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias is a critical skill for this role.Travelers are expected to complete all assigned modules and comply with the facility's requirements before starting.Completion of any required training modules is mandatory prior to the first day of work.The first day will involve virtual orientation and completing any assigned preparations.
