Description:Reporting to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Client/Sleep Disorders.Performs a variety of electroencephalographic (EEG) and neurological testing procedures on in-patients and outpatients.Performs Standard EEGs, Auditory and Visual Evoked Response, Median-Tibial Somatosensory testing as individual tests or "Full Battery."These tests are performed on in-patients and outpatients of all ages in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.Technologists trained and certified in EPT will perform standard EEG testing.EEG technologists who are not trained/certified to do so shall not perform EPT.Educates the patient and patient family on the testing process.Performs clerical duties including scheduling, billing, and filing reports.Participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives.Participates in departmental education and training.Assesses the quality of testing and testing equipment.Maintains and supports patients' rights to care, privacy, and respect.Other duties as assigned from time to time.
