Description:We are seeking an EEG Tech to join our Neuro-Diagnostics team.This role involves providing EEG testing for patients ranging from infants to geriatrics.Neonate testing is rare, with a focus on infants and older patients.The department supports all neurological diagnoses and provides intensive care EEG support.The EEG testing department is located on the 5th tower of the main facility.The staff office features a pleasant view and is separate from the testing room.Outpatient EEGs are scheduled at 8 am and 9:30 am Monday through Friday.Inpatient testing is performed as needed using portable testing equipment.The testing is conducted using a Cadwell system.During downtime, this position will also support the sleep center with confirmation calls and scheduling.Standard EEG testing lasts for 30 minutes.Scrubs of any color are acceptable, except for navy blue and white, which are reserved for nursing staff.On-call duty occurs every other week, with minimal calls to report.There have been very few instances of call-ins in the past six months.The department is supported by interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services.This position requires strong skills in electrode placement, seizure studies, and sleep EEG processes.
