Job summary

Qualifications

  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with radiology scheduling, PACS, or imaging workflows preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient preparation, reminders, scheduling needs, and general questions.
  • Review imaging orders and obtain missing or corrected information from physician offices.
  • Retrieve, transfer, and manage outside imaging studies and reports using PACS.
  • Coordinate communication among patients, providers, radiologists, technologists, and hospital departments.
  • Support mammography reminders, tracking, outside image retrieval, and MQSA documentation.
  • Provide administrative support, including phones, correspondence, scheduling, records, and purchasing.
  • Support quality, regulatory, accreditation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail, customer service, confidentiality, and teamwork.
