Job summary

Landmann-Jungman Memorial Hospital Avera seeks a qualified Radiology Department leader to oversee day-to-day and strategic operations. You will ensure standards, safety, and quality across radiology services, with oversight of staff, equipment, and procedures.

The role requires ARRT certification, an associate degree, and at least two years of clinical radiology experience. Expect on-site work with on-call rotation including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Successful completion of accredited school of Radiology.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Registered Radiological Technologist with ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and supervises all technical aspects of the department in regard to services, programs, and evaluation of such programs.
• Maintains radiological services in accordance with hospital standards and applicable regulations.
• Coordinates departmental purchasing and is responsible for stock levels, storage, and utilization.
• Develops and revises policies and procedures for the Radiology Department and ensures compliance.
• Develops a staff schedule for the department including call schedule ensuring 24/7 call coverage.
• Evaluates imaging study quality and demonstrates techniques to staff; delegates as required.
• Provides accurate financial data as requested and assists budgeting for the department.
• Education of patients on exam preparation to achieve the best diagnostic images.
