Job summary

Unity Health seeks a Radiology Coding Specialist to review radiology reports and assign accurate CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS codes. The role requires collaboration with physicians and staff to ensure compliant and precise coding within a fast-paced imaging environment.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of radiology coding experience and familiarity with payer guidelines, CMS updates, and regulatory requirements. Work is conducted in a standard office setting in Searcy, AR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or related healthcare program.
• Associate degree or higher preferred; professional certifications CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA encouraged.
• Minimum of one year experience in radiology coding preferred.
• Must be familiar with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, NCCI edits, Medicare regulations, and payer-specific requirements.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Review radiology reports and imaging records to assign accurate codes.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, payer guidelines, and organizational policies.
• Assist in maintaining a quality improvement system to assure coding accuracy and billing integrity.
• Promote proper utilization of coding resources to support high-quality patient care.
