Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Professional Coder - Radiology to perform complex physician coding across settings: office, hospital outpatient, ED, ASC, telehealth. You will apply advanced coding judgment, payer policies, and documentation standards to support compliant reimbursement and audit defensibility in an academic, research-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional coding experience required.
• Experience coding for physician/provider settings.
• CPC or CCS-P certification required.
• Payer policies and documentation standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Code complex professional encounters and procedures with correct sequencing and modifiers.
• Resolve coding edits and denials by root-cause analysis.
• Apply payer policies and NCCI concepts to pro fee claims.
• Provide real-time guidance to peers on coding scenarios.
• Participate in internal quality reviews and education actions.
• Review documentation in the EHR across settings.
• Demonstrate analytical problem-solving for denial prevention.
• Understand risk adjustment concepts and HCC validation where applicable.
