Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Specialty ROCC Coder III to perform abstracting and coding on IR/Vascular or Radiation Oncology accounts using ICD-10 CM and CPT withinEpic. The role includes physician querying, production reporting, and PI project participation.

Ideal candidates will have AHIMA coding certification, at least two years of acute hospital coding experience, and strong English communication skills. The position emphasizes accuracy and independence in a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of twelve (12)-month AHIMA approved coding certificate program.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and be a self starter.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and code using ICD-10 CM and CPT on IR/Vascular or Radiation Oncology accounts.
• Communicate with physicians to obtain or clarify diagnoses or procedures via query process.
• Prepare and compile daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
• Participate in departmental PI projects and other duties as assigned.
