UC Irvine Health is seeking an administrative specialist to oversee medical image workflows within its radiology services. You will upload external images into PACS, prepare images for patient and physician release, and distribute radiology reports to ensure timely communication.

Additional duties include providing computer support for procedure confirmations, assigning coding, greeting patients at radiology desks, and processing radiology orders. Flexible shifts including weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as assigned.
• Must be highly organized and able to prioritize a demanding workload.
• Medical terminology
• Basic knowledge and experience with Desktop computing (PC)

Responsabilités

• Oversee overall management of medical images.
• Upload images from outside UCI Health into PACS.
• Prepare images for release to patients, physicians and outside facilities.
• Provide computer support related to confirming procedures.
• Assign procedure coding.
• Provide phone support to the department.
• Distribute radiology reports as necessary.
• Greet patients at radiology reception desks as required.
• Process orders for radiological procedures.
