Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an entry-level radiology support role to assist patients and staff in the imaging department. You will prepare patients for exams, transport them between rooms, and help with basic instructions and documentation.

You will use radiology computer systems to generate requisitions, verify schedules, and retrieve patient information, while ensuring clean, stocked exam rooms and proper safety practices. No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• GED/HSED/High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• BLS certification required upon hire unless the leader determines otherwise.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patient in exam prep and provides basic instruction.
• Transports and escorts patients, families, and visitors as needed.
• Uses radiology systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient info.
• Prepares exam rooms, stocks supplies, and maintains equipment.
• Greet s and answers routine information requests and schedules appointments.
• Acts as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
• Distributes radiology reports/images and handles health information records/files.
• Documents information and communicates patient observations to the health care team.
• Performs routine maintenance and quality checks on imaging equipment.
• Assists with MRI implant screening/documentation as needed.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and growth/development knowledge as required.
• Operates equipment and may perform additional related duties.
