• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure seamless coordination of patient schedules.
• Utilize scheduling software and electronic medical records systems to input and manage appointment information accurately.
• Confirm appointments with patients and provide necessary instructions, including pre-appointment preparations and arrival information.
• Knowledge of procedures that require pre-certification.
• Assist patients with scheduling changes, cancellations, and rescheduling as needed, while maintaining flexibility to accommodate urgent requests.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as billing and insurance, to verify coverage and obtain authorizations for scheduled procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all communications and interactions.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
• Attendance/Timeliness: Is on time for appointments, procedures, and work; meets attendance guidelines established by the Human Resources Department.
