Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center Radiology Hospital in Hobart, IN is seeking a dedicated Aide to support patient transport, front office duties, and general imaging department tasks.

Under supervision, you will help move patients, prepare exam information, and ensure privacy and safety. Responsibilities include verifying patient identity, operating with EPIC, stocking supplies, and assisting technologists as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior direct patient contact preferred.
• Ability to provide care for patients of all ages.
• Maintain BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to the department using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other assist devices.
• Verify patient identity with armband before transport.
• Assist non-ambulatory patients with transfers and provide privacy during care.
• Review EPIC transport list and complete tasks.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and report repairs as needed.
• Provide exam information and instructions to patients and families.
• Participate in department meetings and ongoing education.
• Stock and organize department supplies and linens.
• Clean and inspect wheelchairs and stretchers; report issues.
• Assist technologists with patients as needed.
• May perform related clerical duties and answer phones.
• Observe infection control policies.
