Job summary

Valor Health in Kuna, ID seeks an Administrative Assistant (Radiology/Imaging) to provide front-desk and clerical support within Radiology, greet patients, schedule exams, verify demographics and insurance, and ensure smooth patient flow.

The role includes handling PACS operations with NOVARAD and DR PACS, coordinating with radiologists and technologists, assisting with exam prep, and supporting the department with documentation, communication, and timely service.

Qualifications

• Must have strong multitasking ability and ability to balance priorities.
• Working knowledge of clinical terminology and radiology workflows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and cloud-based tools.
• Experience with PACS systems (NOVARAD, DR PACS) and Cerner is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle confidential information and comply with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Reception and customer service for Radiology patients and visitors.
• Register patients, verify demographics and insurance information.
• Explain department policies and infection control procedures to patients and staff.
• Answer phones, route inquiries, and relay messages as needed.
• Support patient flow through CT, X-ray, MRI and Ultrasound exams.
• Coordinate with radiology technologists and service engineers for on-site maintenance.
• Assist with exam preparation and verify lab results prior to imaging.
• Maintain inventory and requisitions for supplies in Radiology.
