Job summary

Yale University in New Haven, CT is seeking a Radiologist Assistant to support the Body Imaging Division within the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. The postholder will assist radiologists and hospital personnel to deliver efficient, timely care for diagnostic imaging studies and procedures.

Under supervision, the RA will enter CT and MR protocols, educate staff and families, and coordinate care with scheduling.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Radiologic Science required.
• Experience as Radiologist Assistant or physician extender preferred.
• Flexibility to work day and evening shifts (5-11pm).

Responsibilities

• Evaluates clinical indication and appropriateness of imaging studies.
• Approves protocols for CT, MR, fluoroscopy and ultrasound exams.
• Reviews reports and communicates results to clinicians.
• Acts as liaison between radiologists, clinicians, technologists and patients.
• Performs fluoroscopic exams under supervision of the radiologist.
• Dictates ED and inpatient exams under supervision of radiologist.
• Participates in multidisciplinary conferences and education activities.
• Supports proctoring for physicians new to subspecialties and tracks cases.
