Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist for Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC. You will operate x-ray equipment, image processing, and support fluoroscopic procedures in OR, ER, and GI departments.

The role includes patient education, proper positioning, and ensuring high-quality radiographs. ARRT certification and BLS are required, with pathways for Level I–III progression and relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology or ARRT Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.
• AR RT certification required within one year of employment.
• Level II: minimum two years' experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist.
• Level III: minimum of 4 years' experience in specialty modality.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to capture radiographs of designated areas.
• Explain procedures to patients and position them for views.
• Position patients with aids and protective equipment as needed.
• Monitor fluoroscopic procedures and assist physician.
• Process images for optimal quality and match with paperwork.
• Charge radiographic procedures per protocol and critique image quality.
• Use Image Archival System.
• Provide education and training to radiology programs.
• Orient new technologists.
• Perform related duties as needed.
