Job summary

Duke University Health System seeks a Radiologic Technologist for the Operating Room at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. The role supports GI Diagnostic Fluoroscopy, OR, Ortho, Trauma, and Ambulatory Surgery, with opportunities for career advancement.

Eligible for a $15,000 commitment bonus and $3,000 relocation assistance; full-time, 1st shift, 8:00 AM–8:30 PM, Wednesday–Friday at the DUH campus.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology or ARRT Certification.
• Must obtain ARRT certification within one year of employment.
• Minimum of two years' experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist.
• A minimum of 4 years' experience within specialty modality in which they are seeking promotion.
• BLS certification
• ARRT or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs.
• Explain procedures to patients.
• Position patients for each view with protection.
• Assist with fluoroscopic and other radiographic procedures.
• Process images and prepare paperwork for interpretation.
• Use the Image Archival System.
• Provide education and training to radiology students.
• Orient new technologists.
• Perform related duties incidental to the work.
• Career ladder with growth opportunities.
