Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with high quality imaging and strict patient safety. This role requires adherence to departmental protocols, HIPAA and regulatory standards within NYU Langone Health.

You will work with RIS/PACS/EMR systems, ensure image quality, educate patients, and support equipment QC and workflow in a fast-paced radiology environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Radiologic Technology program completion.
• NY state licensure or permit requirements.
• License requirements listed by NYU Langone Health.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations per physician orders.
• Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images while minimizing exposure.
• Adjust technical factors to ensure image quality and patient safety.
• Utilize markers, shielding, and immobilization as appropriate.
• Review images for quality before submission to PACS/EMR.
• Follow isolation and infection prevention protocols.
• Maintain patient privacy and comfort during procedures.
